Day 1: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta

Welcome to Vietnam! Get ready to explore the Mekong Delta, a world away from the bustling city life. Meet your Intrepid representative at the Opera House at 8:00 am. Bring an overnight bag for the homestay; your main luggage can stay at the hotel.

About 2.5 hours away is My Tho, a lively port city at the end of the Mekong River. Cruise down the river, stopping at Unicorn Island to taste tropical fruit and learn about coconut candy production. Explore local villages and customs along the way.

Hop on a Xe Loi to visit a bee farm, then switch to a rowing boat to explore smaller canals. Enjoy lunch at Vuon Dau restaurant with guidance from your local guide. Transfer to the homestay, where you’ll stay in dormitory-style accommodation amidst a lush garden. Meet your friendly hosts and learn more about life in the Delta.

Day 2: Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh

Wake up to the sounds of the Delta and savor an authentic breakfast. Cycle to the nearby local market and return to the homestay to assist our hosts in preparing lunch. After lunch, bid farewell to our friendly hosts and head back to Ho Chi Minh City.

The tour concludes upon reaching your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City around 5 pm. No accommodation is provided for tonight.
